MYSTERIOUS DR SATAN: The Monster Strikes

After the last review, I thought I would get back on a roll with Copperhead's adventures. Uh oh.

It has taken me so long to review this serial that the US president who was busy bungling the pandemic when I started these reviews is back in office.

Anyway, onto Chapter Seven.

Now, in the previous instalment, Copperhead got into a plodding battle with Dr Satan's robot enforcer.

In this episode, the robot is back and now fully autonomous.

Thankfully, the lion share of the action is still man vs. man, as Copperhead has to slug it out with Dr. Satan's various goons. The robot acts more like a battering ram, a first wave attack for the Doctor's robbery of key materials.

There is nothing much to this episode - the robot breaks into a bank and a warehouse. Copperhead intervenes.

I will say the cliffhanger for this episode is particularly deadly - the robot drops a shelf of acids onto the masked hero's comatose body.

And the filmmakers leave no clear opening for Copperhead's escape. The shelf is shown falling onto the body - there is no cutaway or fade to black.
